Vice Rector on Digital Transformation, Associate Professor of the Department «Information Systems» of UlSTU, Candidate of Technical Sciences Vadim Moshkin among the winners of the «Award of the Ambassador of China» for the second year in a row visits China. This time, young scientists and engineers got acquainted with research institutions, industrial enterprises and exchanged experiences at thematic seminars and forums.
The scientific trip organized especially for the winners of the «Award of the Ambassador of China» took place fr om 19 to 29 May. The Russian delegation included 17 young scientists and engineers from 14 cities and 15 organizations.
The prize was established in 2020 by the Russian Union of Scientific and Engineering Public Associations and the Embassy of the People's Republic of China in Russia. Vadim Moshkin, a young scientist of UlSTU, won the prize in 2021 for the development of methods for an intelligent automated system for collecting unstructured information from open sources.
"This time we visited three cities in China - Ningbo, Zhoushan, Hangzhou. All members of the delegation were divided into three groups according to their areas of scientific interest: digital industry, new materials, environmental industry. Excursions were organised for each group. Our group visited Ningbo Innovation Institute of Beijing University of Aeronautics and Astronautics, Ningbo Oriental Institute of Technology, Ningbo Institute of Materials Technology and Engineering of Chinese Academy of Sciences and many other institutes. We also visited the production base of Automobiles Geely, wh ere we saw the process of automated assembly and test drive of Zeekr Geely cars with virtually no human involvement" - told Vadim Moshkin.
Science and technology innovation was in the centre of attention at the Ningbo (Beilun)-2024 Conference on the Development of Young Scientists and Engineers. Researchers and innovative business representatives from various countries gathered to discuss current issues and the latest developments.
Each member of the delegation presented seven papers on different research topics during the trip. Vadim Moshkin presented his work on the development of methods to prevent failures in industrial plants through intelligent predictive analysis of diagnostic information.
"The main knowledge acquired during the trip is an idea of the real level of technological development in advanced countries and its trends for the next decades. The trip also brought a lot of contacts with people and organizations with whom further cooperation is possible. Scientific, technical and innovative co-operation with China is a must. It is necessary to borrow the experience of foreign colleagues in the field of state, organizational and financial support of projects in key areas of the national economy" - noted Vadim Moshkin.
