On April 18, celebration of the 65th anniversary of Radio Engineering Faculty took place in the concert hall «Tarelka», dedicated to the World Amateur Radio Day and the 65th anniversary of UlSTU. The event was attended by students, staff of the faculty and other guests.

The Radio Engineering Faculty was formed on March 1, 1962. Its founders were Alexander Altukhov, Rector of UlPI, and Yuri Vitko, who became the first dean of Radio Engineering Faculty.

"Radio Engineering Faculty has huge achievements and plays an important role in the history of Ulyanovsk State Technical University. It trains specialists in the most diverse and necessary fields of activity We understand that the need of enterprises in the personnel of radio engineering profile will only grow every year. Faculty - these are people who worked and work on it, students who will soon make up the engineering core of radio electronics of our country" - Nadezhda Yarushkina, Rector of UlSTU made a welcoming speech.

"Radio Engineering Department is one of the oldest in the university. Almost all of its graduates are employed in their specialty, working in the field of radioelectronics, communications, IT companies. Our faculty gives a good engineering education, develops analytical thinking" - PhD in technical sciences, dean of Radio Engineering Faculty Damir Kadeyev noted.
