Student of the Faculty of Energy Makhmadali Jurabekov won the All–Russian inter-University competition of poetry reading "My soul is Russia", held at the Moscow Polytechnic University from June 9 to 11. For the heartfelt reading of the poem "The Soul of Russia, the Russian soul" Makhmadali Jurabekov was awarded a diploma of the first degree.
45 students from 28 countries took part in the competition. Russian poets' poems were read by them in Russian. UlSTU was represented at the competition by students of the Faculty of Engineering Ahad Boltaev and Jahongir Tairov, as well as students of the Faculty of Civil Engineering and the Faculty of Energy Cordova Cervantes Leonardo Arturo and Mahmadali Jurabekov. Akhad Boltaev performed the poem "Native" by Dmitry Sadovnikov, Cordova Cervantes Leonardo Arturo read the poem "Generous, wide, expanse" by Tatiana Lavrova. Jahongir Tairov completed the competitive marathon by reading Valery Dukhanin's poem "Russia".
All students of UlSTU received certificates of participants of the readers' contest "My Soul is Russia" and gifts from the Moscow Polytechnic University.
