Interview with UlSTU postgraduate student Pham Tien Manh
Pham Tien Manh has been studying at UlSTU for 11 years, in his free time he likes fishing and walking around the UlSTU campus.
Why did you choose Ulyanovsk State Technical University for study?
It wasn't up to me, I was sent here by the Vietnamese government. At first I dreamed of studying in Moscow, St. Petersburg or Kazan. But in the process of studying at UlSTU, I realized that this place is for me, I like everything and everything suits me.
In what language are your classes held at UlSTU?
All classes are held in Russian language.
Was it difficult for you to learn Russian language, communicate in Russian?
It wasn't easy, I studied Russian for 1 year in Vietnam, then 1 year in Russia. Now I got used to it and I'm fine.
How do you find your experience of studying and living in Ulyanovsk?
Life here is comfortable and interesting. I'm quite satisfied.
How do you find Campus territory of UlSTU?
The territory of UlSTU campus is beautiful, green and comfortable. It's a very nice place here.
Please, name 3 of your favorite places in Ulyanovsk?
My favorite places are: Swimmimg pool "Severnaya Volna" (on campus territory of UlSTU), the campus territory of Ulyanovsk State Technical University near the Volga River and Lenin Square.
How do you find Russian cuisine?
Everything is delicious, I especially like soups, juices and fried dishes. I prefer shashlik.
How do you estimate the climate and nature of Ulyanovsk?
The air is fresh and clean here. Atmosphere is pleasant.
What would you wish for foreign students coming to study in UlSTU?
I would like to wish foreign students coming to study in Russia, in Ulyanovsk, good health, success, fulfillment of wishes.
