The  solemn opening ceremony of the Competence Center «Composite Technology» on the basis of the Institute of Aviation Technologies and Management «Ulyanovsk State Technical University» took place on the 5th of August.

Rector of  UlSTU  Nadezhda  Yarushkina made the speech about the staff  which is training in Ulyanovsk State Technical University for composite industry. First Deputy CEO of  «UMATEX» Alexey Dremuchev, spoke about the development and prospects of educational projects in the field of composite materials and technologies in his speech.

Also the Governor of Ulyanovsk region Aleksey Russkikh and the Head of the Chuvash Republic Oleg Nikolaev visited the important event for the region.

In the context of the Center of Competences demonstration the guests were shown the rooms of the laboratories that include the whole chain of composite materials products manufacturing: from design and prototyping of a model, tool making to the final parts processing.

The Competence center «Composite Technology» is the joint project of UlSTU and the composite division of  Rosatom company «Umatex». The training complex is equipped with the equipment necessary for testing of new materials and creation of completed products.
