Ulyanovsk State Technical University has risen in the international UI GreenMetric World University Ranking 2022
1050 universities from 85 countries participated in the UI GreenMetric 2022 ranking. Russia was represented in the ranking by 52 universities. UlSTU became the only university in the Ulyanovsk region included in the rating.
The overall score of UlSTU, compared with the indicators of the rating of 2021, increased by 1052 points. UlSTU has the highest scores in the groups of indicators "Education and Research", "Setting and infrastructure" and "Transportation". In recent years Ulyanovsk State Technical University has demonstrated a steady growth of indicators, which was reflected in the increase in the position of Ulyanovsk State Technical University in the main environmental rating of the world, compared to 2021, by 70 points, despite the fact that the number of participants has increased - in 2022 the rating includes 1050 universities, which is 94 more than last year.
The University of Indonesia (UI) initiated in 2010 the World University Ranking, which later became known as UI GreenMetric (UI GreenMetric World University Rankings). Its purpose is to quantify efforts to maintain the sustainability (environmental friendliness) of campuses. The founders of the rating seek to draw the attention of the academic community to the need to conduct a policy of sustainable environmental development in order to solve environmental problems.
In UI Green Metric ranking, there are such universities as: Universitas Indonesia (Indonesia), Ton Duc Thang University (Vietnam), University Of Anbar (Iraq), Istanbul Technical University (Turkey), University of Zanjan (Iran), University of Glasgow (UK), Cairo University (Egypt), Weifang Institute of Technology (China), Politecnico di Torino (Italy), Mangalore University (India) etc.
