Students of International Institute of UlSTU celebrated the Day of Russian language

The traditional celebration of the Day of Russian language for foreign students took place on the day of birth of the great Russian writer Alexander Sergeevich Pushkin. The event was attended by students from Afghanistan, Guinea-Bissau, Zimbabwe, Egypt, Yemen, Sudan, Eritrea, Tajikistan and Russia.

During the holiday, students played skits based on Alexander Pushkin's fairy tales, read the poet's poems about autumn. They also recalled an excerpts from Vladimir Mayakovsky's and Sergei Mikhalkov's poems.

The holiday ended with awarding foreign students with letters of thanks for creative initiatives and the development of intercultural communications.


The Day of Russian Language is celebrated annually in Russia and in the world on June 6 on the birthday of the great Russian poet, the founder of the modern Russian literary language Alexander Sergeyevich Pushkin (1799-1837).
