Director of the Department of Digital Transformation, Associate Professor of the Department of Information Systems of UlSTU, Candidate of Technical Sciences Vadim Moshkin visited China among the laureates of the “Chinese Ambassador's Award”. Young scientists and engineers got acquainted with research institutions, industrial enterprises and exchanged experiences at thematic seminars and forums.
The scientific trip, organized especially for the winners of the "Chinese Ambassador's Award", was held from May 21 to 30. The Russian delegation included 25 people from 15 cities and 20 Russian organizations. The award was established in 2020 by the Russian Union of Scientific and Engineering Public Associations and the Chinese Embassy in Russia. The young scientist of UlSTU Vadim Moshkin became the winner of the award in 2021 for the development of methods for an intelligent automated system for collecting unstructured information from open sources. Due to the unfavorable epidemiological situation, the trip to China had to be postponed until the restrictions were lifted.
" We visited two cities in China - Guangzhou and Shenzhen. All members of the delegation were divided into three groups in accordance with the areas of scientific interests: modern production, biology and medicine, information technology. Excursions to technology companies were organized for each group, we visited the sites of such Chinese manufacturing giants as Huawei Technologies, CloudWalk Technology, CAS Cogniser Technology and other well-known companies" - Vadim Moshkin told.
The issues of scientific and technological innovations formed the basis of the discussion of the annual forum of the Greater Gulf region. At the largest scientific platform in Asia, researchers and representatives of innovative business from different countries discuss urgent issues and current developments. Vadim Moshkin made a presentation on the topic of data analysis and artificial intelligence at one of the forum sites dedicated to information technologies.
